Hello all, This is the current status on my lists about this terrible virus going around the mailing lists.... Waterford seems to be ok (maybe because it's been very quiet) - I haven't gotten any messages back saying anyone on it is infected. Shamrock -seems- to be clear right now. Two more members of CountyCork have the virus , persons using the id names TATUNK@worldnet.att.net and margaretallison in Australia. I will be temporarily unsubbing them after this message until they are "clean". Then they can resub. The reason I unsub people who are infected is to stop the -spread- on my lists. Persons can resub once they are "clean". Some things to point out.... 1. PLEASE read the message I sent last night with the heading "Details on virus". This is NOT being sent through the lists, but individually. No one is out to "get" anyone or harvest email addresses from lists. This is going around rampantly on all lists on all servers. 2. DON"T EVER OPEN ATTACHMENTS which you do not expect! That is a major no-no! 3. Everyone with a hard drive (webtv doesn't have a hard drive) should have an antivirus program installed on their computer. Norton is one, Firewall is another. There are many sites to check out.. http://www.antivirus.com So hopefully this is the last message I have to send on this. If you are getting any of these messages (and if you are on other mailing lists you might as some lists I hear have many infected people on them), just delete the messages and wait it out.
