Hugh MOLLOY was born in Newtown, Kings County in the early 1830s. He was married in Killerna Ireland in 1857 (Source a daughter's birth certificate. Hugh himself registered the birth.) Hugh's occupation in New Zealand was farmer and sheep shearer. his father, James was also a farmer. His wife, Margaret HAVEN born possibly 1838 at Rahan or Rayhan Queens County. Her death certificate gives the place of marriage as Rayhan, Queens County. An unconfirmed source has a son born in Curragh of Kildare and some family history has the family coming from Kildare also. I have tried Expedia Maps and Place Names of Ireland which listed NINE Newtowns in Offaly nothing for Killerna and five suggestions for Rahan.
