Good Morning All Just an update on my progress on this quest. Many thanks to all who sent me advice and instruction on how to get this information. The deed is in progress. On Thursday Jan 18, 2001 I presented my completed request form to the INS office in New Orleans, and have received confirmation from them that they will address the matter and that it has been put in the queue. I guess I now just sit and wait. I will be sure to keep you all posted on the results. Just in case anyone knows anything about my grandfather, he was Patrick Joseph Kelly, born 13 Mar 1888, Co. Kildare, Ireland. Parents Simon A and Mary Cushing Kelly. Came to USA in early 1900's, went to work for Standard Oil Co of NJ in 1904, married Anna M. McCurnin in 1911, and died in 1940, in Baton Rouge, La. At the time of his death he was survived by 2 brothers, Thomas of NY and John of Port Arthur TX. Hopefully the naturalization petition will provide the Townland or Parish of his birth and baptism. Again THANKS Patricia
