I have a fairly dumb question here. I have recently come into possession of my grandfather Patricak Joseph Kelly's naturalization certificate. He was naturalized in New Orleans, La. He was living in Destrehan, La at the time. Where would I find the original application papers? Would they have them in New Orleans or do I have to request them from NARA? I have also come into possession of his personal file of correspondence, in which I found his biographical sketch on file with Standard Oil Co of New Jersey. It was buried in the file and the cousin who gave it to me had not looked at the pages. But, it only states that he was born in Co Kildare, Ireland. No township listed. Oddly I had attempted to get that data from EXXON and they were not helpful at all. It does list his positions within the company during his 36 plus years with the company. Oh well, hope someone can tell me the answer to my original question. Thanks in advance Patricia Reply to: Shadancer@aol.com
