when asking for information about the Purcells ,I forget to ask if there might be any McDowds in Ireland. My father and grandfather were William Arthur McDowd from Detroit and Ireland before that.I haven't been able to trace them before 1901 although I have the marriage certificate for my Grandfather Wm A McDowd and Dolly Purcell in Detroit, Michigan in 1890. I am still searching the census. I want to thank you for your help with Ppurcell. I will search right away. Thank you. I am really new to the computer but am learning about it everyday.
