Thomas O'Grady, from Loughlea, Galway, came to Boston about 1850, had son and two daughters, one of which became Mother Immaculata, a Catholic nun and founder of a girls school in Troy, NY. Katherine O'Grady, born about 1835, Loughlea, in Galway, sister to Thomas, arrived Boston a little later, married Martin Carroll Lynskey and they went to Va. where they settled raising a large family. Martin C. Lynskey, born in Athenry, Galway apparently married Katherine, above, in Boston but then moved to Va. He was born about 1830 and served in the Civil War.
