Hi Listers, William Patrick CRAWLEY married Mary Bridget (a.k.a. Biddy) BRANNIGAN c. 1817. The couple lived in the Upper Ward of Dundalk in Co. Louth. William and Mary had at least 7 children: 1. Mary CRAWLEY (b. 1817). 2. Laurence CRAWLEY (b. 1818) died at a very young age. 3. Bridget CRAWLEY (b. 1820). 4. Patrick CRAWLEY (b. 1823) who also died when he was very young. 5. William CRAWLEY (b. 1824) was a blacksmith in Dundalk. 6. Patrick CRAWLEY (1827-1869) married Catherine McCANN from Drumcar, Co. Louth in 1855. Patrick lived in Drumcar for a few years after their marriage before moving to Dundalk. 7. Laurence CRAWLEY (b. 1829) was a fitter in Dundalk. He is reputed to have gone to sea as an engineer. He ended up in America, sending back money to help his younger brother, Patrick. Laurence supposedly married a woman of French descent, with whom he had two daughters that grew up to become nuns. Laurence may have fought for the American navy or army. Anyone know this line of the CRAWLEY clan? Roy
