Use that link and then go to the 2nd FAQ page and you will find a very helpful (she said, modestly) explanation of Griffith's Valuation(s). As for the Flax Grower's list, it is a list of people who were given spinning wheels as a premium for growing flax for the linen trade in the 1790s. The lists give names, I think by parish and county, and the number of spinning wheels they got. Mostly names from the northern counties, if I remember correctly. Hope that helps! Janet C-S
