Is there any one out there researching this surname? My George was born somewhere in Ireland in the 1820s. Was Roman Catholic. He settled in West Troy NY by 1848. Having great difficulty connecting with an Irish Earles. All others seem to have come from England, were Protestant, and settled in Tennesse or thereabouts. -- Pat Wood, Fircrest WA
