Wm. Pendergast, b. Ireland, m. Catherine O'Rourke, b. Ireland. Daughter, Catherine, b. Ireland 1830. Young Cath. came to Cambridge, NY, circa 1851. She m. Thomas Reed, b. Ireland, circa1827 - 11 children. Thomas Reed, b. Ireland, circa 1789 - m. Catherine??, b. Ireland. Nine children - of those nine, three were known to have come to Washington County, NY state, along with their parents. Thomas, [see above], Catherine, b. circa 1829, and Simon, b. circa 1836. Young Thomas came in 1849, the others in 1854. Young Catherine disappears, and Simon went to Montana to work in the mines - he died in Helena in 1874. Michael Quinn, b. Ireland, circa 1840, m. Catherine Hughes, b. Ireland, circa 1843. They married in the Schenectady area of NY state. Nine children - one of the daughters, Anna Jane, m. James Reed, son of young Thomas Reed, and young Catherine Pendergast. John Hughes, b. Ireland, m. Ellen Galvin, b. Ireland circa 1810. Daughter Catherine m. Michael Quinn -[see above] Son Richard, b. Ireland, circa 1850, was in the Cohoes area of New York State in 1880-1890. All of the above families settled in Cohoes, NY [Albany County] by 1870.
