I am and have been on the search for two missing sisters from Ireland. Their names were Nancy and Elizabeth Gilmore. Elizabeth, b. about 1823 in Ireland, married in Freeport, Maine 1849 and died in Brunswick, Maine about 1892. Her sister Nancy, b. either 1835 or 1840 in Ireland was listed in t he Philadelphia 1850 and 1860 Census as Nancy Gilmore and in 1870 and 1880 and 1910 Census as Nancy Hoy, wife of Thomas Hoy, which fits with what we know. I have checked and rechecked Boston and Maine arrivals for 1845 and on for arrivals without any luck. I have checked under Anna, Hannah, Agnes and Ann for Nancy; I have checked under Biddy, Lizzie, Liza, and Eliza for Elizabeth but not much luck Any suggestions or pointers would be appreciated.
