    3. Researching the family of Charles Dobbins, born about 1840 and Mary Forbes, born about 1842. I am looking for their daughter, Matilda Jane Dobbins (1862 - 1933). Mary may have had a brother John Forbes. A sister Martha Forbes , (1841 - 1925) was married to James Robert Jones, (1837 - 1898) in Ireland and then they came to New York. The family was in and around Staffordstown and Randalstown in County Antrim before coming to New York. Anyone researching the same family?

Their Parish Church was The Church of the Assumption, Ballyporeen. Descendants, CAPLICE - O'BRIEN emigrated to Australia - Gympie, Maryborough and Central Queensland (Capella); CAPLICE - O'DONNELL - MAHONY - FLYNN - POWER and O'BRIEN emigrated to the USA towards the latter years of 1800.     3. James and Mary Fitzjarris Long immigrated from Ireland some time prior to 1854. On 11 November, 1854 they had a daughter, MARY LONG, born in Randolph, Cattaraugus County, New York. JOHN BUTLER was born 15 April, 1839 in County Clare, Ireland; John immigated to New York in 1860, and applied for citizenship in Buffalo, Erie County, New York in 1881. the said JOHN BUTLER and MARY LONG were married sometime in the 1860s when Mary was very young. They had at least two children in Buffalo, Kathryn born in 1880 and Josephine born in 1881.     2. HOPKINS-BLAINE-JENNINGS These families are from Crimlin (Crumlin) townland Turlough Civil Parish in Co. Mayo. My paternal roots (HOPKINS) are in Crimlin. My grandfather was Michael Hopkins. His sister, Bridget, married Patrick Jennings of Crimlin in 1883. Their cousin, Mary Hopkins, married James Blaine of Crimlin in 1878. Mary's father was John Hopkins and her brother was Thady Hopkins. HOPKINS-CUNNINGHAM My father's mother, Honor Hopkins, was the daughter of Thomas Hopkins and Anne Jordan of Derrylahan townland, Turlough Civil Parish. Honor's sister, Mary, married Peter Cunningham also of Derrylahan in 1895. My grandparents, Michael Hopkins and Honor Hopkins were married in 1892. HOPKINS-MCMYLER-JENNINGS My paternal grandmother's youngest brother, Michael Hopkins, married Bridget (Agnes) McMyler of Commauns in Utica, NY in 1905. Bridget's parents were Michael McMyler and Mary Jennings of Commauns townland. I think Michael and Agnes arrived together at Ellis Island in 1900 and then went to Utica, NY where Agnes had either an uncle or a brother. Michael's sister, Bridget Hopkins McCann, also lived in Utica. She was a widow. The marriages all took place at Crimlin Chapel in Co. Mayo except for Michael Hopkins and Agnes McMyler. GRANT-MORGAN All families are from County Down, Drumboniff and Stang townlands. Church was St. John the Evangelist in Hilltown. The Grants emigrated from Drumboniff to Pittsburgh, PA and the Morgans stayed in County Down and some went to Scotland.
