Believe Thomas had a brother Michael Joseph Conroy, Mary did have a brother Andrew Flaherty or Faherty. All from Ireland , WHERE IS THE QUESTION. Hello. I am trying to find information on a Langley family from Galway Ireland in the mid 1800s. William Langley married a Mary Tannyan around 1840. Children. Joseph Patrick born 1843. Joseph born 1845 Michael born 1847 William born 1851? Dominic born 1853. There was a son Joseph Langley who Married a Mary McNamara from Gort, they were still living in Gort in the early1900s. (1840), Patrick Francis ("Frank" ) (1841) born in Ireland. Emigrate to US about 1842, supposedly first to Emmitsburg MD., then on to WashDC. Had more children born in WashDC: Ann Virginia ("Jennie") (1845), Catherine (1848) died in infancy, Elizabeth Ann ("Lizzie")(1850), Mary Catherine (1852) died in infancy, Edward Francis ("Frank" (1854) Mary McCAFFREY's cousin Rev. Peter B. O Flanagan, S.J., was pastor of Holy Trinity RC parish in Georgetown, DC. Patrick CASSIDY was sexton of the church. I have traced the descendants of all the above except for Charles and Edward. Charles married Alicia MacDONALD, and served in the Union Army (as did Patrick Francis) during the Civil War and is buried in Soldiers Home cemetery in DC. They had 8 children. Edward Francis m. The following are my ggrandparents. Their son William, the youngest, was my grandfather. Cornelius COLEMAN married Hannah TOOMEY at St. Peters Church in Cambridge, MA, on August 29, 1886, by Rev. John F. Broderick. Witnesses to the wedding were Michael Harding and Helen Coleman. Cornelius' parents were Daniel and Ellen (possibly Nellie) COLEMAN. Hannah's parents were Andrew and Elizabeth (McDONALD) TOOMEY. Both Cornelius and Hannah emigrated from Ireland, Hannah possibly in 1880. Cornelius arriving in Boston on April 29,1883 on the SS Catalonia. Possible parents of Cornelius are Daniel and Nellie (COTTER) COLEMAN of Inchigeelagh, (Iveleary) Cork, where I found a Cornelius of these parents, being Christened on April 11, 1858. Cornelius was Naturalized on Oct. 9, 1896 in the U.S. District Court Boston, MA, where he states he was born March 1856 in County Cork, Ireland. His sponsors for citizenship were Joseph Murphy of 10 Squires Court, Cambridge, MA, and Cornelius Sullivan of 26 Porter Street, Cambridge, MA.
