    1. [SH] Kane, Kennedy>Lisdeen, Co. Clare, Ireland
    2. I am looking for any Kane or Kennedy's from the southwest part of Clare. Lisdeen is near Kilkee. There is a John Kane listed in the Griffiths Valuation of 1855 in Lisdeen does anyone know of that family? My gg grandmother was Bridget Kane Kennedy, I don't know her husband Kennedy's first name. They had four children Catherine, Lucy, Annie & Patrick. Catherine was born in 1859. I don't know when Bridget was born but she died in Chicago in Jan., 1891. Her father was an overseer (don't know if that's good or bad). Kennedy my gggrandfather bred horses and liked the horse races. I would love to hear about the area or talk to anyone from there. I would love to go to Ireland but I know that won't happen anytime soon. Thanks everyone, Ann Minogue Smith

    1. [SH] Jane McKEOWN
    2. Ken Wallace
    3. Good Morning Listers, This is a bit of a long shot but is there any lister out there tracing the McKEOWN line. If so, do you know any-thing about a Jane McKEOWN who either lived with, or was married to a Michael LENEHAM. Circa 1862 these folk resided in a cottage in what is now Annerley Road Dutton Park opposite the Brisbane Prison. I have a very large brick wall here, so any information about Jane or Michael much appreciated. An estimation of age for Michael and Jane in 1862 is 35-40 years. A search of BD&M's in three states showed up negative info. Many thanks Ken Wallace

    2. Maura
    3. Hi all.... I hope everyone enjoyed the party, and hopefully someone made a connection or two! If any "stragglers" haven't sent their emails in yet, please do so.... but in general we can get back to "business as usual"..... Of course you are free to send in your surnames whenever you wish, and I'd recommend sending them about every 2 months anyway to lists as new people join every day... also don't forget to check the archives of lists for past posts. You can do that by going to http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl Thanks! Daniel Mullen, the son of John Mullen and Mary (Murphy) Mullen left County Cork, Ireland about 1848 with his young family. He was thirty-four years old, his wife Mary (McCarthy) Mullen was twenty-nine and son, Charles, was just an infant. The family lived in England while waiting to emigrate to the United States. In 1852, the family was living in Pennsylvania where son, John was born. Five years later, they were living in Iowa as daughter, Annie was born there 11 Jan 1856. (Anne was born in Iowa according to Census records and also in the History of Wright County, however, her death certificate #25210 date of death 1 April 1948 lists her birthplace as St. Paul, MN). By 1860, the family had settled in Buffalo, Wright County, Minnesota. Evidently they were recent arrivals to Minnesota when the census of 1860 was taken as the children were not yet listed as attending school. donnamullen@yahoo.com donnamullen@hotmail.com mullen@oz.net

    3. Hello JoAnn! Found the following information on the Shamrock List and just wanted you to know that my ggrandfather, John DANAHY came from Ireland (not sure where) around 1840 to Waterford, Kings Co., NB. I am searching where he might have come from but since I am in Nova Scotia most of the records are in NB. I never considered that he might be from Limerick Count but rather suspect Cork or Kerry. Happy hunting.
