KING, married between 1870 and 1880. She died in 1926 buried in Westchester County, NY. Any help finding info about her would be greatly appreciated...parish and townland in Ireland are my "brick wall." Linda
Honoria BYRNE born before 1819 Ballyloughan, RC Parish of Bagenalstown, married Andrew LAWLER 1839 same location. Daughter Margaret born year or so later also same location. At some point, they emigrated. Location unknown. So far a search of US census records has not revealed anything conclusive. Someone did find on an Irish cd, an Honoria and Margaret about the right ages sailing to the US. This was about 1851. This may or may not have been them. If so, then Andrew must have come over sooner. Debbie

I received an email this morning from Ken Rose [[email protected]] about "Islands" which contained a Magistr virus. My Norton caught it and I deleted the email so don't know what it had to say. The email was NOT sent through any of the Rootsweb lists so I don't know where they took my email address from as I use this address for only genealogy / Rootsweb. IF YOU GET SUCH A MESSAGE - DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY AND DO A VIRUS SCAN BEFORE SENDING ANY OTHER EMAILS. (sigh) Doreen
I'm trying to dig up info on my John Kelly's family. John was my great-great uncle born 1852 in Ireland. Patrick, his brother, emigrated in 1879. Patrick, my g-grandfather, changed his name to Kelley, so I assume John may have changed his also. Patrick lived in Hadley, MA. John probably lived in Salt Lake City (or whereabouts), but his daughters were living in Chicago in the 1950's, so John may have later lived there too. His daughters were Lu Fanning and Florence O'Neil. Thank you. Patsy

BAYNE, MCGEAGH families married one another at various times between 1820 and 1918 in Tyrone, in the Cookstown area. Townlands of interest include; Tamlaghtmore, Lismoney, Claggan, Gortnagross, and Ballymenagh. It seems that at least some of the Bayne's moved into the Cookstown area in the early to mid 1800's, leaving from around Keady Co. Armagh - as also the HOGG and WARNOCK families. I am particularly interested in a Samuel Cordner Bayne who left for the USA (possibly in the 1870's) and who was involved in the yeast industry there, who later returned to Ireland, and was involved in the brewery/yeast industry there in the early 1900's The SHERRARD family were from Lisnalinchy townland in Antrim and had links with Ballyeaston/Ballylinney Presbyterian Churches. Alexander married a Janet LOGAN. One daughter, Nora, married a James Henderson. They emigrated to New Zealand in the 1920's. I am interested in the wider family connections, not just the direct lineage, and welcome any information that anyone may be able to provide. One particular puzzle at present is to identify the family linkage between the various BAYNE/BAIN families in the area around Cookstown especially the link between the John BAIN of Lismoney 1800-1870 and the William BAIN of Tamlaghtmore who built a house there in 1859. Looking for ties for the following ancestors.... Edward LEONARD born approx 1869 in Ireland. All canadian records state Cork. There is some confusion abut his parents' name...on his marriage certificate his parents are recorded as TERENCE LEONARD and MARY CORRIGAN ....on his death certificate they are shown as EDWARD LEONARD and ? MURPHY. I don't believe his parents came to Canada. He emigrated to Canada and married MARY MCGOEY (spelled MCGORY on marriage record)on June 22, 1897 in Toronto. CATHERINE MCGEE was born in Ireland, (no other details on record). She married LIONEL BERTRAM MUNRO in Toronto. On her death certificate her parents are shown as EDWARD MCGEE and ELIZABETH MURRAY.
