Iam in deep need of help, tring to solve a mystery., it's my gr.g.father, William Micheal SHAFFER. He was born1886, possiably Dublin, Franklin, Ohio(this is state on one sons birth record and a family bible, which is lost). He married an Ida Mae GUNION on the 12th. of March, 1892 in Steubenville, Jefferson,Ohio. He died in 1936 and buried at Upland Cemetery in Yorkville, Jefferson, Ohio. I can not find any birth record or dath record to verify who he is.Which means I am at a stand still on that link. He and his family lived in Steubenville, Brilliant, Jefferson, Ohio and Wellsburg, Brooke, W.Va. I am at my wits end.
