---1913 DAR Magazine--- There was a Peter Shaffer, who was a Lieut., from Pennsylvania. He was appointed in 1776 in Atlee's Musketry Battalion, and served in the New York and New Jersey campaigns, was born in 1740, and had a daughter, Ann Maria, who married Casper Brunner.
