I'm also passing this on. Looks interesting on the names listed on down below. Reba {Mary Lamb - there is a Lamb on it] ---------- From: Adrianne Hopkins <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Subject: [HOPKINS-L] English Royalty back to Christ Date: Monday, October 26, 1998 12:50 PM This was on the Quaker list and I found it so interesting, I had to pass it on! Adrianne ========= Hi List, As a result of posting the connection of the Griffith family back to the English Royalty (King Edward III) and having stated that it would be easy to extend the lines now to the Biblical "begats", I have since been asked by several persons to make good on this statement, that is to show how this can be done. I have a large chart in my office here that shows multiple paths to accomplishe this, and I had considered laying out these lineages in a posting to the list. Then I remembered one of the first bookmarks I set when I joined the internet. It is a website for the Chesebro family, which lays this out in exquisite detail, with ample historical data included. This advertises to cover 121 generations from Adam to one of their youngest family members, though I could only count 116. They split the presentation into two parts. The first covers all the generations from Adam to King Alfred the Great of England, some 80 generations in all. The second takes it from Alfred all the way to the present. This will more than satisfy everyone's interest in the subject. My line presented to the list 2 days ago joins this list with Constance Touchet m. to Robert Whitney. (My family groupsheet BDEDH5). One problem with the presentation is that you have to go forward or backward one family at a time. You can't just jump into the middle. With that in mind and the fact that many of you might like to look for a possible connection, I have indexed all the main featured names for the final 15 generations and will list it below. But even if you don't connect immediately, this is a neat package. It convers not just the Biblical lines, but also the Irish Celtic lines, Danish royal lines, early British royal lines back to early BC dates. Next to connecting up to all the famous Biblical personages via Joseph of Arimethia, who settled in Britain after the death of Christ, I found these Celtic lines wonderfully interestng, and I am sure you will too. Here is the URL to access this package: http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/c/h/e/Larry--Chesebro/index.html Have fun with this package. I hope you enjoy it as much asI have. I also hope this satisfies all the follow-on requests from my past posting. Best Wishes, Bruce Wood ___________________________________________________________________________ Index to last 15 generations. I only indexed the featured names. There are many times this many names present, as brothers, sisters, wives of brothers, etc. Even so it is quite a list. Hope this saves you time in looking for what you might want to examine. The index gives the surname, and the superscript number which indicates the generation. (Adam is 1.)
