Don, I have some info that ties into yours below. I obtained it from Paul Shaffer <[email protected]> He can give you more generations either way. I had to cut much of the info out since I have a mac & he sent it on an IBM disk, & my skill at the time of translating was too poor for all the cumbersome information. It may be updated or altered but this is what he gave me (& he is very happy to help you); I think it came from "The Sheffer Family of Shenandoah County Virginia," on microfilm at a good number of the Mormons' Family History libraries.
