Lydia Susannah commonly called 'Susan' married Jacob BENNETT also of Pennsylvania. They migrated to Marion County, Indiana where they had 13 children. They later moved to Madison twp, Madison Co, Iowa in 1852 where they stayed the remainder of their lives. I suspect that Jacob may be the son of Isaac Bennett of Brothersvalley twp, Somerset Co., PA and am trying to prove this. I see many Shaffer (various spellings) in Somerset County and hope someone who is researching this surname may be able to help me out.
