I merely know that was the maiden name of my Grandmother that married a Wooley, Woolley, Woolery, etc and the first child they had was born in Shelby Co., OH If I remember correctly they lived on Metcalf, though I have been told the home is no longer there. I think the address was 612 o4 632 street number. My Grandmother Eurilla (Aurilla?) E. Shafer was born 1881 and died 1934/5 when my realative was just 14 years old and the youngest of the family. The children of my Grandparents are all now deceased so I can post the names of the families the girls married, I am still learning the maiden names of the males. I do know: Doris Woolley born c. 1905 married Clarence Sawmiller, a twin and lived in Deerfield, MI W. Elizabeth Woolley b 1912 married Herbert Chambers b 1910. W Elizabeth died young and there was no issue of this marriage, Herbert remarried and lived in IN and had issue in the 2nd marriage, but made no mention of his first wife in his obit, I have no clue to the death date for her. Lillian Alberta Woolley married an Orville Beemer, 4 children, one drowning in the Maumee River as a young boy. They lived in Toledo at the time. Hiram Edgar (Uncle Bud) married a June ? and had children of which I think are still in the area, Bernard CLEVE (Clevis on 1920 census) Woolley was married to Carol(yn) Rose and had children. This marriage ended in divorce. Frederick Neal W. married a Violet Bray who was an adopted child. Having lived well into her 90's, it was found her original birth name was Helen Catherine O'Brien. They moved to MI and had many children, of which 3 are now deceased. Francis E W. was registered as a male, but was a female with children and her name was actaully Frances that married a Getzinger and they lived in Toledo. Darrell,?? not sure of that spelling died at an early age. Leah, or Leigh Jane W married a Merrick Stauffer and I know the names of their children but only know for sure of the death of one Merrick Jr. Etta Jane, daughter is not known if married or deceased. These children I have a picture of them with my Grandmother's parents, G-Grandparents Shafer, Shaffer, Shaefer, etc. I have no given name for them. I know not where Grandma was born but buried outside of Lima, Allen Co., Ohio in an old Church cemetery, but my cousin couldn't think of the name of the cemetery but many Schaefers, etc are buried there. I have tried to contact him again but my messages are not returned now that he has recently moved. He is a Woolley and a land survey (er) with his one business and genealogy is not one of his interests. Anyone able to help me with this would be appreciated. I have been searching for years. I realize Allen Co. mentioned here is IN but not to say that they may be close together, or some moved and could have just named their town the same.
