I was also automatically unsubscribed from a number of mailing lists about 2 months ago - as a result of returned messages & errors . It turned out that my ISP was blocking all messages coming from my email server (I use I-name). Some messages were still getting through in round-a-bout ways, so there wasn't total blockage. If you are experiencing this, check with your Internet Service Provider. In my case, they did it because they were experiencing a vicious internet attack last summer from someone using the same email server. At my request, they removed the block, and it's been OK since.
