I know that there were two Johannes Schaeffers who settled in Schoharie County, New York in the early 18th century. I am descended from them both. One was born in Hilgert Dorf, Germany. The other in the Pfaltz. Both circa 1690. Any information on these two individuals would be greatly appreciated. I have a bit more information to share with anyone who is interested.
