Am looking for information on the Shafer/Shaver family of the Cobleskill-RIchmond area in Schoharie Co. NY. In particular, I am searching for the parents of: Sylvester Shafer of Cobleskill Farmer, married, age 40; enlisted December 29, 1863; killed at Cold Harbor while on picket, by gunshot through the neck.
