Thanks for the Clinton Co, Ind responses. No matches yet, but still hopeful. Does anyone have any info on the Crawford Co, Ind Shaver/Shaffers originally from Shenendoah, Va.? Daniel and Susan had the following children: James, Daniel, Mary, Nancy, Susan, Samuel, Jula, Delila, George, and William. They were in that area from at least 1820 to 1870. I'm also looking for those who continued on to Waukegan, Ill. I have little to no information on this group that eventually spelled their name "Shaffar". Thanks so much, Jo
