I have a Peter Shaffer b. Pennsylvania around 1796. He was married to Rebecca ? and had a daughter Eliza Jane b. in Ohio around 1820-23. I descend from Eliza. Peter settled around 1830's in Vandalia, Fayette Co, IL and later lived in Jefferson County, IL. He was married three times. I can't connect him to a location or a Shaffer family.
