I have more details but don't believe this connects directly to my line. DeCamp is from Emily W. DeCamp b. 27 Feb 1832 that married Joseph Stanford Shaffer b.12 Sept 1827 d. 17 May 1869. 7 children by this marriage. Edward 1852, Minor 1857, George 1858, Annetta 1861, Emmit 1864, Mallissa 1866, Alice 1868. Emily W. DeCamp Shaffer then married #2 George W. Hull 18 Aug 1870. Between 1870 & 1873 they traveled the Oregon trail to Washington state in the Whitman Co area. She gave birth to 2 sons ~ Frank Hull & Charles Hubb Hull. Emily & George than divorced. She went to live her remainder years with her son & my grandfather ~ Minor Green Shaffer who was married to Alma Hull. They had 6 children. Emmett, Loren, Dean (Robert), Joseph, Genevieve, & Hiram Hull (my father) b. 6 Nov 1901 d. 29 Aug 1993. They were all raised on the Shaffer homestead outside of Almira, WA in Lincoln Co. I have never seen a Sherman/Shaffer marriage except my own. My husband is Cary Lou Sherman ~ Lou Sherman & Lenora Davis are his parents (divorced). Lou's parents were Marvin Sherman & Clara Bell Breithaupt. These Sherman's originated out of Michigan & Minnesota at least as far as I'm able to track. Please advise if any of this helps.
