To this marriage there were 8 children born ~ EDWARD SHAFFER b. 4 Oct 1852 d. 5 Nov 1853?, MINOR SHAFFER b. 24 Oct 1857 d. 13 Jan 1924, GEORGE SHAFFER b. 4 April 1858 d. 16 March 1886, ANNETTA SHAFFER b. 23 Dec 1864 d. 7 Nov 1919, EMMIT SHAFFER b. 27 Dec 1864 d. 26 Dec 1912, MALLISSA SHAFFER b. 7 July 1866 d. Aug 1924, ALICE SHAFFER b. 23 Nov 1868 d. Feb 1925 "also" listed is a MIRANDA SHAFFER dates unknown except in an 1880 census states her age to be 11 yrs old ~ this also fits "Alice"'s age ~ so I don't know for sure.
