He was interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Surviving are his wife Betty Duvall Shaffer, a son David Charles Shaffer (Daisy), daughter Kathy Guerrero (Miguel), daughter Kelly Shaffer and grandson Bradley Guerrero. Mr. Shaffer, born in Ashland, KY April 27, 1926 was a veteran of WWII and served on the island of Saipan with the U.S Marines. He was formerly a resident of Cincinnati, OH and employee of American Airlines at Lunken Airport. Mr. Shaffer was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Evelyn Hill Shaffer, and sisters Norma Jean Wood of Florida and Mary Evelyn Imhoff of Cincinnati.
