    3. I don't know your line, but if your Revolutionary soldier received bounty land in the state of TN, then he would have been a NC soldier. NC awarded bounty land in it's western territory--the area we now know as TN. Virginia Revolutionary soldiers were awarded bounty land in either KY or the Virginia military district of OH. These state grants would have been separate from any federal bounty land that the soldiers received.
