She can't find her notes. My cousin has since deceased. My cousin's husband suggested it was found Shiffer, Sheffer, etc???? I did at one time see a picture of Samuel Shaffer, don't know if the same one, but there was a connection to a Charles and George if I remember correctly. With a picture seen online, I did see a Charles, Hiram, Jake, and couple of other of whom I don't know are connected to me or not. I don't know the given name of my G-Grandfather Shaffer. I have been told it was George, Hiram, and William. Fun, but I couldn't connect knowing nothing but my Grandmother Shaffer b 1881 and I haven't found her on a census other than married to Wooley, Woolley in 1920 with some of their children still at home... Not all their children were yet born. Others married and away from home. One of my Grandparents children said to have been named after G-Grandfather's or ? was a Hiram Edgar. I had always called him Uncle Bud, but his son informed me I was wrong when I referred to him as Herman Edgar as he was named after 2 G-Grandfather's or whatever. Now the son was told if it was good enough to be named that way for his Dad, then he too was named the same way and his name is George Edgar. I don't have a clue for the Edgar name name. Someone once told me my Grandmother Shaffer had a brother by that name, but I can't find anythink. According to census my Grandmother Shaffer was born in Ohio.
