Samuel SCHAFFER married Harriet EMERICH--they had one daughter Eliza Jane b April 16, 1837 in Rushville, IL Eliza married John Wesley LAWYER around 1855 They had six children....Nancy(gggrandmother) b 1857, Amanda b 1859, William b 1861, Dora Ann b 1863, Tinee b 1865, Henry b 1867 (died very young) All of the children were born in Springfield.
