I have seen some posts in the last couple of days that could almost fit my Shaffer! I am looking for the parents of John Edgar Shaffer b. June 20, 1851 in Hamburg, Germany (?) and died March 24, 1930 in Allegany, New York. He supposedly came here when he was about 16 years old with 2 other brothers. He married Elizabeth Ross (b. 6-1-1880 in NYC) in New York and became a dairy farmer in Allegany, New York. They had the following children: Matilda Shaffer b. 1898 George John Shaffer b. Feb 13, 1900 Hermand J. Shaffer b. 1902 Henry P. Shaffer b. 1903 Andrew U. Shaffer b. April 1905 An aunt says that her mother kept up with the other 2 brothers for a while but she doesn't know anything about them. Any help would be appreciated. Vicki
