Hello. I have been watching both of these lists for any hints of my family, hoping that some one would be looking for the same families and would be kind enough to post. Hopefully I can spark some discussion now that I've come out of the shadows! ;-) I descend from John and Elizabeth (d. 1777) SHAFFER whose son, Simon SHAFFER (b. 1753 Berks Co, PA), married Susannah MILLER (b. 18 AUG 1755 Cumberland Co, PA, d. 10 JUN 1824 Somerset Co, PA) in 1773. Susannah was the daughter of Conrad (d. 1783 Cumberland Co, PA) and Hannah (d. 1799 Franklin Co, PA) MILLER. I would be most interesting in anything dealing with the ancestors, siblings, descendants, cousins, etc. of any of these people. I have only recently discovered that these folks are *my* folks so I don't know much of anything on them other than my line.
