Hello List, I am hoping someone on the list will be searching the same lines. I read MUCH good information from this list. I am searching for the parents of Catherine Shaffer who is listed in the 1850 Census, Kingston Twp., Luzerne Cty., PA. Catherine would have been born about 1793/94 since she is 56 at time of the census. Jonas Delong is her husband, age 63 and born in NJ. Frederick, son, is 16. Also, I am interested in the children of Nicholaus Schaeffer and Susanna DeTurck who were married on August 13, 1770 at St. Gabriel's, Douglasville, PA. My line descends from Johann Peter Schaeffer and Anna Margaretha who arrived in NY June 1710, moved to Schoharie, NY and then to Tulpehocken. I'm now attempting to fill in the twigs and branches!
