Frederick Henry SHAFER/SHAFFER/SCHAEFER born 7 October 1852 in Stockfeldt Germany (I'm sure the town is an Americanized spelling) per his obit He supposedly came to America at age of 6. death certificate says name of dad is ?ran or m (and no last) obit says 2 brothers and 1 sister survive him- but NO NAMES!! unknown if siblings were born in Germany or America IGI has a Frederick Henry Schaefer born 7 Oct 1852 whose parents are listed as Frederick E and Sophie Heyden fische 523300 There is also a Frederick Schaffer married to a Margaret with children: Caroline, Margaret,Frederick, Charles,Clara, Walter-all childrens birth dates not confirmed except for Caroline. Child fred show s(1861) so may be related. Unknown which of above 2 may be mine. My Fred Henry died 22 Sept 1936 in Harper County OK. Unknown parents names. (above not confirmed) He was married to Rebecca Painter in March 1875 in MISSOURI. Fred and Rebecca had the following children: William Walter Edmond Andrew Acie Charles aka charley James Albert George Wesley or vice versa-went by both ways Henry Dock (mostly went by Dock) all above children born in MO.
