Quad Cities Genealogical Conference PO Box 0943 Moline IL 61266-0943 Henry Z Jones, Jr is one of genealogy's most active, energetic, and visible speakers. After his graduation from Stanford University, Hank had a twenty-year career as an actor, appearing in eight Walt Disney films and many television shows. After discovering a 1709 immigrant ancestor to Ireland from Iggleheim in the Pfalz region of Germany, his interest in the Palatine was born. Along with countless articles in major genealogical periodicals, he has authored several books, including The Palatine Families of New York - 1710; The Palatine Families of Ireland; More Palatine Families of Ireland; More Palatine Families; Westerwald to America; Psychic Roots; Serendipity & Intuition in Genealogy. This last book led to an appearance on 'Unsolved Mysteries' and prompted a deluge of mail and calls. The great response led to his newest book, More Psychic Roots: Further Adventures in Serendipity & Intuition in Genealogy. Mr Jones recently received the Award of Merit from the National Geneaogical Society "in recognition of distinguished work in genealogy". ==== GenTips Mailing List ==== // Regards, Gord Hines (Regina SK Canada) On Sat 28 Feb, 1998, DEE353 wrote: > > I'm confused......Read a couple post's lately saying their SHAFFER ancestors > came from Germany.
