Hello I'm searching a Schaeffer or Shaeffer family who resided in Middleport Pa.Schuylkill County from 1820 through 1860. one son - Edward Shaeffer born June 22, 1822 in Middleport, married Roseanah Troutman on March 11, 1845. I would be please to know if any of this data connects with anyone else's search. I believe Edward's father's name was John - surname could be spelled Shafer, Schaeffer, or Shaeffer. - they don't make searching the Shaeffer's easy, do they. John supposedly died in Reading, Pa. from smallpox. Thanks. Shirley
