I'm looking for the family of Helen Alice Schaeffer (b: circa 1872-1875 perhaps in PA but not sure). Known information is scant. She had a sister. She married Stanley Paupper about 1890-1892 perhaps in PA. He was a shoemaker. They had 3 children: Sarah (birth date unknown but born in PA; think she married someone named Fitz) Eleanor Alexandra (b: Mar 17, 1897 or 1900 m: Robert MacFarland) Stanley (b: August 27, 1902 m: Ella Mae Mock) Helen Alice's husband, Stanley, died about 1903 and she died in 1904. We believe the 2 daughters were reared by Helen Alice's sister. The boy, Stanley, was reared by the Stanley Klepacki family in either the Mount Carmel or Chester, PA areas. He later joined the Merchant Marine & lived in the state of Washington and died in Phoenix, AZ. My grandmother, Eleanor Alexandra, always said she was born in Pottsville, Schuylkill Co., PA. We've assumed they were all born there. A recent inquiry suggests her brother Stanley might have been born in Altoona, Blair Co., PA. A check with the Schuylkill Historical Society does show a Peter Klepacki had a shoe shop in Pottsville, PA. He was a brother of Stanley Klepacki who reared Helen Alice's son Stanley. I'm guessing that Stanley Paupper & Helen Alice Schaeffer Paupper died in Pottsville, PA & must be buried in the area but from Texas it's difficult to tromp the cemeteries.
