My name is William Edward Shaffer and I am looking for descendents of Oliver P. Shaffer and Sarah Hartsough who lived in Highforest township in approximately 1860 - 1904. Highforest is located near Stewartville, Minn. My Grandfather was one of their sons his name was William Edward Shaffer and he died in 1901 in Stewardville. When visiting in Rochester serveral years ago I found a biography of OP Shaffer in a book about Olmstead County at the heritage Library but no reference to his parents. Other children of OP and Sarah are: Edgar, Angelina, Charles, Sarah, Franklin Eugene, Emma , John E., Elizabeth (?).. Oliver may have had a brother David.
