Shaffer, B. 1886 to Mary Murch & George Shaffer in Dutchess Co., NY. Lived w/parents in Poughkeepsie through 1915 NY State census. Story is that she worked in a silent movie theater, possibly in NYC and dated the owner of a Chinese laundry. When she started "stepping out" on him with the theater owner, the laundry man murdered them both. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
