Hello I have noticed all the recent interest in the Schaffer.... lines from PA lately and thought that I would throw mine out there again to see if anyone had any further info for me. I was told that many of my Shaver ancestors kept their original surnames (Schaffer/Schaeffer/Shaffer/Shafer..etc...) in PA while others chaged them to Shaver.
