There are two former major league Baseball players in this family who are "missing" They are George W Shafer, who probably died around 1906-1909 and was living in Philadelphia. He was a famous ballplayer, known as Orator, and it is odd that he has been missing all these years His brother Taylor is possibly the Taylor Shaffer in the 1920 census in Punxatawny,Pa. There was a Taylor Shaffer or Shafer around Philadelphia born 1870 but that is not him. There is a Frank Shaffer who was said to be another brother but I don't know for sure. Three brothers in the major leagues and all missing. Anything new on these three men would be greatly appreciated Richard Malatzky
