Dear Cousins Known and Unknows: My Shaffer ancestors were Jacob/Rosina, Jacob/Otilla, Daniel/Anna Hudlow, Daniel W Sheffer/Catharine Kesling, Mary Sheffer/Eli Adams Wilson, Columbus Edwin Wilson/Elizabeth Tweedy, Lela Wilson/Donald Stanley. I would love to hear from anyone connected with this line. I have been collecting Census and Census Index information for the Shaffer line. My focus has been VA, PA, OH and IN. I have entered this information into Excel format. Knowing that it is difficult for some folks to get census information I would like to offer any Shaffer researcher this file since I've included all known spellings of the name as they appear in the census. If you would write to me privately ([email protected]) , I can send it to you. If someone has a Shaffer web page and would be willing to put this information on the web...I would gladly send this to them so that anyone can access it. In the future I hope to view the films relating to the Census Index, obtain the Census data and enter it into the file I just mentioned.
