Shaffer, 42, died suddenly, Friday, August 14, 1998. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, she is survived by her father, Edward D. Shaffer and step-mother, Patricia E. Shaffer; a step-brother, Gene Buck of Los Alamos; two step-sisters, Connie Ryan and Barbara Rush, both of Albuquerque; and Barbara's son, Jeremy and daughter, Amanda; aunts and uncles, George and Nancy Shaffer of Placitas, their sons, Steve Shaffer, his wife, Dini, and son, Max, Richard Shaffer and David Shaffer, and Ray and Stella Jordan of Victoria, WA. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 1998 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle SE at 6:00 p.m. If friends desire, in lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the charity of your choice. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, are in charge of arrangements.
