You can see he is planning on future pages as he already has the places marked out. I said in my offering this to you, "I hope this helps someone out", I have had some feedback and I am happy to have helped in this small way. If any of you would like to link your page to Jim's please do so. We know that there are a lot of us out there who are looking for the same lines, but haven't put the "right" name and place in a query. I wish we could gather more information and put it up...marriages, military service. There is so much that we can do, if we would just begin talking and sharing and combining all of our information. I am adding to the information that is on the Shaffer page, but in 1840 there sure were a lot of Shaffers out there.
