This is going to be a little short on details because this is all I have. Dora Shaver/Shaffer was born in California in 1863 (per 1880 Harper County, Kansas census). Sometime in 1882(?) she married Richard Young Gill in Kansas. Her father was John Shaver. Her mother was Diana Bodley. John and Diana were lost off the West coast of the U. S. or Canada sometime between 1880 and 1885 (I think) when the ship they were on went down during a storm. Dora had at least two brothers. Fremont was older and Ira was younger. After the death of the parents, Ira lived with Dora and Richard until he grew up and moved to Oklahoma. There may be other children. I don't know what part of Oklahoma. All locations in Kansas are in or very near The City of Harper in Harper County, Kansas. I don't know where in California. Do you have any answers?
