I am searching for info on Charles Shaffer and Salome Shaner who were the parents of Ellen Elvina Shaffer. Ellen was born December 12, 1831 in Lehigh Co. PA and died March 1891 in Clarington, Forest Co., PA. She married George Washington Elder January 28, 1858. Charles and Salome are listed in the history of Clarion Co. PA where they lived for some time and in fact may be buried there. They had at least one other daughter, Mary Ann, who married a Major Cyrus Neely in Clarion Co. in May 1850. They may also have had a son named Will. I am sending this to both the Shaffer and Shaner lists in hope it will strike a chord. Any help would be appreciated. Jeff Elder Granite Bay, CA
