    3. Hi Does anyone offer a service for searching and copying documents there, apart from the staff themselves. I have found some documents via the archives catalogue which sound very promising, but the copying charges are very expensive. Any help appreciated. This is the catalogue link http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/a2a/records.aspx?cat=182-ams39&cid=59#59  Add Mss 40,573 - 40,596 Set of papers from the house of Frances Muriel Jupp Barnard, in 1988, on Barnard and Jupp families and also to the Gratwicke and Martin families thanks   regards Russell Tuffery Auckland New Zealand

    3. The charges for photocopies at West Sussex Record Office (WSRO) are the cheapest of any county record office that I have visited at 40p per black & white sheet up to size A3 when obtained from the self-service photocopier in the Search Room, increasing to 60p each (plus postage) when the copies are made by the staff. However, when ordering copies from their postal service, there is a minimum order price of £6 for up to 5 photocopies. Full details can be found on Searchroom Leaflet No. 3 entitled Reprographic Services and this can be downloaded from the WSRO web site or see http://www.westsussex.gov.uk/leisure/explore_west_sussex/record_office_and_a rchives/about_us_location_opening_ho/using_the_record_office.aspx . You have quoted WSRO refs Add Mss 40,573 - 40,596. That relates to 24 original documents and each document might contain many pages. So, it would probably be best if you selected just a few of the documents that you think might be of special interest to you and then send an E-mail to WSRO and ask them for an estimate of the cost of each of them. Then you could order them in stages as funds permit. Best wishes, Marion Woolgar Bognor Regis, West Sussex SFHG Member No: 3323
