    3. Hello Donna, In Giles Jacob's " A New Law Dictionary", published in 1750, the details for the word "Age" state that "Fourteen is the Age by Law to be a Witness". I have not yet found a similar book published in the 17th century but perhaps Google Books or one of the similar sites has one. I was interested to see that you have the age of the witness. I have a few names going back to that century, but I have not been able to identify their birth dates. You are fortunate indeed !
